The lo-fi melting pot of Los Chicos Muertos features Mexicana, alt-country, skiffle, chanson, warped blues and Eastern European Romany influence. The nucleus of Grae and Andy are stalwart troubadours having led alt-acoustic pioneers The Young Trash Lovers from the back rooms of Camden to the festivals of France. One of them livesin a trailer, the other married in Vegas under the watchful eye of Elvis. The narrative and music of an average set will take you from the silver towns of the Sierra Madre to an absinthe skewed night in the bars of Paris, from a low rent Bakersfield Motel to the arms of a Liverpool bouncer. Having been described as "Calexico meets Tarantino" - Hunter S. Thomson meets Jim Jarmusch might be more accurate.

Los Chicos Muertos have released a series of gloriously lo-fi EP's, and these as well as their live shows often feature special guest artists, augmenting the usual selection of guitar, keyboard, fiddle, melodica, sequencer, bucket bass and harmonica, with occasional congas, snare or lap steel. One regular guest is St Albans chanteuse Polly Huggett who adds a plaintive trill to the proceedings. Grae and Andy are also regular members of the pan-European lo-fi collective The Anglo German Low Stars and have performed acrooss Europe as well as regularly at UK festivals and venues.
