After being individually involved with various bands, Redmaxx started making a collective noise in the summer of 1999, with a line up of Simon Hinksman on drums, Gavin McCann on guitar and vocals and Jezz Palmer on bass and vocals. Initially taking their cues for sound and attitude from the more independently minded areas of alternative and punk, they soon began to adopt a wider field of influence and develop their own unique, tuneful and energy-charged sound.
After playing many local gigs (as well as frequenting venues such as Camden Underworld, The Garage, The Bull & Gate, Dublin Castle and Harlow Square), the band have developed a strong following. Their recorded output has gained airplay from XFM, and has received positive reviews. |
